Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Our business is licensed by the Henry County Health Department, and we are fully insured.

Is a deposit required to hold the event date?

We require a 40% deposit and signed contract to hold your date. This is based on a tentative meal count, which is determined when the contract is sent. The remaining balance is based on a final confirmed meal count and is due prior to the day of the event.

What do you do with the leftover food?

We will box and refrigerate the leftover food. We work with several local charities that accept our leftovers should there be more than you can adequately handle.

How do I finalize my event plans?

Just give us a call and we can normally do this over the phone, typically there is  no appointment needed.

How far will you travel for events?

Keeping food safety in mind, we normally don’t travel over 50 miles from Holgate, Ohio. There may be a travel/service fee incurred for areas beyond Henry County. Please contact us for details.

Are you affiliated with the Bavarian Haus in Deshler, Ohio?

No. We are completely different businesses. We do cater events there frequently.

Can I pick up linens early?

Yes. We usually have linens early in the week. Just call to set up a time to meet. Linens should be returned to us the day after the event.

Can you provide linens, china and table service?

Yes. All of our lunch/dinner buffets include high-quality disposable table service. Linen tablecloths, skirting, napkins, full china service or upgraded plastic ware are all available as upgrades.

Do you provide table servers if necessary?

Yes. We can provide qualified event staff to serve your meal.

Are there any other additional charges we may incur?

Late service charge: for every 30 minutes past the confirmed service time, a $50.00 fee will be charged
Hall clean up fee: table clearing of entire hall is $150.00
Full sit down dinner service: available for $3.00 per person
Salad only served: $1.50 per person
Dessert only (including wedding cake) served: $1.50 per person
Rolled silverware fee: $0.75 per person

Can I make change after reserving my date?

Yes. You can change your menu selections and final count up to 10 days before your event.

Is the food prepared at the event’s location?

No. It is prepared in our licensed kitchen and transported in insulated containers to the venue you have chosen.

Will head tables be served?

Yes. We will serve the head table at no additional charge.

When do you arrive at the event location?

Depending on the extent of service, we are usually on location within 1.5-2 hours of service time.

Do you cut wedding cakes?

Yes. We can cut your wedding cake for a $75 fee. This does not include serving the cake to your guests.
